This All Happened – Memoirs And Biographies

I have found that nonfiction does not get borrowed as often as fiction, which I think is largely due to a perception that it is dry and boring. Nothing could be further from the truth! If you’re a fiction reader just dipping your toes into nonfiction, try a memoir or biography. These personal accounts tend to have more of a narrative than other nonfiction books. The authors of these books explore diverse, sometimes controversial topics (such as mental illness, racism, abuse) and experiment with form by writing their stories as free-verse novels or comics.  I encourage you to explore this genre and check out one of these great memoirs and biographies from the library:
